Welcome to day seven in the 33 Paintings in 33 Days Project of Alaskan artist Nikki Kinne and Wisconsin artist Helen Klebesadel.
When she shared this painting Nikki wrote about how this project of small faster works of creative exploration was influencing her other, larger and more time consuming art works. She is finding herself bringing more uninhibited exploration and trust in the process and the paint into her work.
This particular painting began to speak to her as a metaphor for the ‘life flow.’ To create it she revisited an earlier texture experiment and gave herself over to an awareness of the image that was waiting there for her to find.
For my seventh painting I also revisited a texture experiment I had saved. Sometimes the texture experiments I do are just too beautiful to let go of but I don’t know what to do with them at the time. I have to let them simmer and tell me what they want to be. Eventually they reveal themselves.
In this case the promise of the texture was perfect for a larger painting reflecting on the promise of green strawberries I had discovered painting the day six painting.
Thank you for joining us as we reflect on our shared creative journey!
I am now making my daily works for this project available for sale online in my Meylah shop here: http://meylah.com/HelenKlebesadel I will post them each day after they are posted in the blog.

I hear we have a few folks joining us on our painting a day for 33 days by doing their own paintings. If you are posting them anywhere i would love it if you would leave us a message with a link to where they can be found.
