Welcome to day four in the 33 Paintings in 33 Days Project of Alaskan artist Nikki Kinne and Wisconsin artist Helen Klebesadel.
The strawberries are still ripening in my garden. I have a feeling I will be returning there for inspiration a few more times. I wish I could paint how they smell and taste. As requested I am now making my daily works available are for sale online in my Meylah shop here: http://meylah.com/HelenKlebesadel I will post them each day after they are posted in the blog.
Nikki Kinne’s painting today is a recycled creation. It was inspired by an earlier painting that had been abandoned when it didn’t resolve in a way she was happy with. When straightening her studio she found a piece of another painting that didn’t work and it called to her to bring her paints and try again. Rich textures and patterns with seemingly secret images implied.
We are enjoying this creative journey. Thank you for joining us along the way!
