The Wisconsin Artists Biennial is a competitive exhibition available to all artists living in Wisconsin over the age of 18. The purpose of this competition is to showcase the creative self-expression of emerging and established artists in Wisconsin.  

The Wisconsin Artists Biennial began in 1900 as the Society of Wisconsin Artists with the mission to promote “the ennobling and educational influence of art.”

The Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) explores the art and culture of Wisconsin. Founded in 1961, MOWA is one of the top museums of regional art in the United States, with over 5,000 works of contemporary and historic art by more than 350 artists. Through 18+ rotating exhibitions and 175+ educational programs each year, MOWA provides an innovative forum for all.
